Last Updated: January 21, 2025

What's the difference?

Delete My Data: Removes all your personal data (chat history, moods, insights, etc.) but keeps your account active. You can continue using ZenMind with a fresh start.

Delete Account: Permanently deletes both your data AND your account/login credentials. You'll need to create a new account to use ZenMind again.

This guide covers "Delete My Data" only. To delete your entire account, see the Account Deletion Guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I recover my data after deletion?

No. Once deleted, your data is permanently removed and cannot be recovered. We don't maintain backups of your personal data on our servers.

Will deleting data cancel my subscription?

No. Deleting your data does not affect your subscription status. You'll remain subscribed to ZenMind Premium (if applicable) and can continue using all premium features.

What's the difference between "Delete My Data" and "Delete Account"?

Delete My Data: Removes all your personal content but keeps your account active. You can continue using ZenMind with the same login.

Delete Account: Permanently deletes both your data AND your account. You'll be signed out and need to create a new account to use ZenMind again.

Can I delete specific items instead of everything?

Currently, the "Delete My Data" feature removes all your data at once. If you want to delete specific items (like individual chat sessions or mood entries), you can do so from within those respective sections of the app.

Does this affect other devices?

Data deletion only affects the device you're using. Since most data is stored locally on your device, data on other devices (if you've logged in elsewhere) won't be automatically deleted.
