Frequently Asked Questions

Can I recover my data after deletion?

No. Once deleted, your food logs and health data are permanently removed and cannot be recovered. We don't maintain personal data backups outside of what's needed for normal operation.

Will deleting data sign me out?

No. "Delete My Food Data" only removes your health and meal data. Your account remains active and you stay signed in.

What's the difference between "Delete My Food Data" and "Delete Account"?

Delete My Food Data: Removes all your personal health content but keeps your account active. You can continue using CalBuddy with the same login.

Delete Account: Permanently deletes both your data AND your account. You'll be signed out and need to create a new account to use CalBuddy again.

Can I delete individual food log entries?

Yes! On the Dashboard, swipe left on any food entry or tap it to open options, then select Delete. This removes individual entries rather than all your data at once.

Does deleting data affect my buddy's account?

Yes — your buddy will be notified that the buddy connection has ended. Your buddy's own food logs and data are completely unaffected.
