Learn Dutch: Speak NL — Last updated: October 2, 2026
By downloading, installing or using Learn Dutch: Speak NL (the "App") you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms are an agreement between you and the developer of the App, operated from Bulgaria.
Learn Dutch: Speak NL is a language learning app for iOS and Android that teaches Dutch as spoken in the Netherlands through:
Lessons are bundled with the App. An internet connection is needed for speaking feedback, ads and subscription management. We may add, change or remove content over time.
You do not need to register or sign in. Your progress is stored on your device only, so it cannot be moved to another device and cannot be recovered by us if you delete the App.
The App offers an optional auto-renewing subscription ("Learn Dutch Pro"). The plans on offer, their length and their price, including any free trial, are shown in the App before you buy. Prices vary by country and currency. Payment is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat.
A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Your Apple ID or Google account is charged at confirmation of purchase (or when a free trial ends) and at the start of each renewal period, at the then-current price.
If a plan includes a free trial, the trial starts when you subscribe. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged for the first period. If notifications are allowed, the App reminds you about a day before that deadline. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription. A trial is available once per Apple ID or Google account.
Cancelling stops future charges. Premium stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. We cannot issue refunds directly. Where consumer law gives you a right of withdrawal, it is exercised through the store you bought from.
To restore premium on a new device or after reinstalling, open the Progress tab and tap Restore purchases while signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account.

We may adjust these limits with reasonable notice. Changes never remove premium features during a period you have already paid for.

All content in the App, including lessons, exercises, audio, vocabulary, grammar explanations, illustrations and code, is owned by or licensed to us and protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own non-commercial learning.
Pronunciation feedback is an approximate learning aid. Speech recognition can be wrong, especially with background noise, strong accents or very short recordings.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. We do not warrant that the App will always be available or free of errors. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA OR PROGRESS. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or EUR 10 if you paid nothing. This does not limit liability for intent, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data and forms part of these Terms.
We may change these Terms. We will update the date above and, for material changes, tell you in the App. If you keep using the App after a change, the new Terms apply. If you do not agree, stop using the App and cancel any subscription.
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may restrict access if you breach these Terms or the law. Sections that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Bulgaria. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring claims in its courts. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest of these Terms remains in force.
If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App and is not responsible for addressing claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
